It was founded as a centre for excellence in the fields of research and higher education in streams which are related to petroleum and minerals resources. The university is committed towards meeting the dynamic needs of the astoundingly growing industry standards, and this is one reason why the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) is ranked as the number one institute in Saudi Arabia. The Department of Chemical Engineering in the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) stands in league of the best departments for chemical engineering in the entire nation. The students of this department are provided with highly competitive undergraduate programs such as BS Chemical Engineering Science, BS Applied Chemical Engineering and a vivacious graduate program, which are supported with remarkable facilities. The department of Chemical Engineering also offers Master of Science (MS) and Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Not to mention, that the faculty of the department is top-notch, all of them with national and international achievements and recognition. Student’s Club of the Department of Chemical Engineering It is a constant endeavour of the students’ club to encourage the students of this department by providing them with a platform to perform and prove their skills and expertise. This club facilitates the students of the department to participate in all such activities which are associated with the stream of Chemical Engineering. The students’ club aims at enhancing the student-faculty relationship in the department through various activities. In addition to that, it also tries to provide maximum exposure to the industry, as it will give them the confidence to face the challenges posed by the industry once they are in their respective jobs.
All the students of the Chemical Engineering Department of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) are encouraged and invited to join this club. By allowing the students to develop their professional and leadership skills through various activities in the department, the students’ club aims at instilling the much required confidence in the students to prove themselves in their professional lives. The students’ club of this department emphasizes strongly on the overall development of the students’ through improved communication and leadership skills. The members of this club understand the fact that the success of the students of this department is bound to mark the top position of the Department of Chemical Engineering of the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in the Kingdom. |
